"Operation No Gangs” is a company that helps with gang intervention and prevention in both communities and school. Their website provides some frightening statistics on the county in Texas they are based out of and also provides a great deal of anti-gang poetry, information, and news. They are also available for seminars for school and social service agencies to help deal with gang issues and members.
Violence Provention Institute and Safe Youth
Both of these pages serve to provide information and deterrence for youth violence and gang membership. Vast amount of statistics from the most recent "National Youth Gang Surveys" and trends within those surveys among many other statistics are presented on these sites.
Long Island Crisis Center
This web site provides an example for a crisis intervention center that exists in Long Island. They have an outreach van which they use to reach out to troubled youth. Also, they provide gang intervention and assistance. A hotline is provided for anyone to call if they feel a friend or someone they know is at risk for violent gang activity.
Youth Crisis Center
This site outlines some do's and don'ts to help youth avoid getting in trouble with gangs. Their links page also offers links to similar organizations that might help youth or families in danger of gang violence.
